O debate teológico no século XX e o ingresso da psicologia no contexto formativo
Abstract
This article is dedicated to understanding one of the theological debates of the twentieth century, the entrance of psychology in the formative context. What today seems to us to be a natural relationship, has a history marked by a diversity of ideas and positions. We begin with a brief historical foray into the relationship between psychology and theology; then we will analyse the conciliar decree Optatam Totius - the first conciliar document to indicate the use of psychology in formation - in order to understand how the formative theological environment was organized to accommodate the new discipline. Thus we hypothesize that the psychology that entered the into formative context has an epistemology, a historical-cultural context, an anthropological model and a way of being used. The main objective of this formative development was to promote a permanent human and spiritual growth in those being formed.
